The Great American Eclipse – Earthquake and Tsunami

Review of Arjuna’s (John Hogue) recently published 43rd book, addressing the August 21 solar eclipse over America, past events during eclipses and prophecies, with the last chapter devoted to Osho’s understandings.

It is a thrill ride, a book to challenge our mindsets that tend to avoid even clear-cut facts if they don’t fit into our world view as we would like it to be. Arjuna assesses the known facts about solar eclipses, volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, and tsunamis with the cool eye of the scientist and at the same time listens to the legends that are part of the collective unconscious but often disregarded as so-called myths. His aptitude with astrology adds another edge to his sharp intuition and he explains the various cases of dramatic earthquakes since 1923; seven of them occurred in the last decade:

“Astrologers have long been aware of a correlation between earthquakes happening when Mars and the outer planets, especially Uranus, are either in opposition or in 90-degree squares of each other. Indeed it happens quite frequently. Earthquakes generally – and especially great, deadly earthquakes and tsunamis – take place when either the new or full moon aspects Mars or outer planets in opposition or squares.

“It need not happen exactly on the day an aspect is perfect, or the exact day of full or new moons.”

Moving on to the two major solar eclipses in 1999 and 2009, he necessarily also connects to Nostradamus’ prophecies which – also explained in modern English – are captivating, particular as the eclipse in 1999 was clearly foreseen by Nostradamus. Arjuna describes the actual events following the total eclipse whose shadow moved from Southern England crossing the channel onto Flanders and then Greece, Turkey, Iraq (Nostradamus’ new Babylon), and Iran, then over Pakistan into Gujarat in India, the Ganges River Plain, Orissa and left the planet after covering the Bay of Bengal.

Then the earth that was shadowed began to move:

“On 17 August 1999, just six days after the total solar eclipse had passed over it, the North Anatolian Fault Zone slipped in the powerful, deadly İzmit Earthquake. It was a 7.6 magnitude temblor lasting 37 seconds causing widespread destruction in Istanbul 70 miles from the epicenter. It also damaged cities and towns along the northeastern shores of the Sea of Marmara, one of the most crowded urban industrialized areas of Turkey. A tsunami over eight feet (2.5 meters) high crashed into that coastline where parts of the heavily populated seaside towns had dropped six feet below sea level.”

He makes a point that such quakes and floods recurrently arise weeks or months or even up to five years after the actual eclipse took place. It occurs as if the shadow that touches certain areas during the eclipse remains in some invisible way as a pointer for further action to take place.

Arjuna describes the seven major earth events following the eclipse of 1999, the last one after 4 years and 4 months unfolding in Bam, Iran. However, great eclipses also create political and economic quakes, and the eruption of wars, such as the major changes that happened mainly based on the 9/11 atrocity, and the following war unleashed on Iraq after 1999. Libya was next after the Great Eclipse of 2009 and then (still ongoing) Syria, the global terror menace of ISIS and a new cold war launched by America against Russia.

During the Great Solar Eclipse of July 22, 2009, the world came under the longest-lasting shadow of the moon cast from a total eclipse darkening the skies in the widest swath, and was witnessed by the greatest number of people in history. The moon’s shadow in 2009 first touched down on Earth just a few hundred miles south from where the recovering Rann of Kutch in Gujarat on 26 January 2001 had been overshadowed by the eclipse of 1999, eighteen months before the quake.

The 2009 eclipse passed eastward over Ganges River Plain (again!), before it climbed the Himalayas, moved over parts of Nepal and Bangladesh, Sikkim and Bhutan before skirting the sky-scraping peaks of extreme Southeastern Tibet. From there the shadow moved across the tip of Burma to the Han heartland of China, to Shanghai, over to the Pacific Ocean, touching the Japanese Ryukyu and Iwo Jima Islands of Japan and after the Marshal Island atolls lifted into deep space just northwest of Tahiti (French Polynesia) and northeast of the islands of Samoa and American Samoa. The sheer vastness of it!

One more time, a succession of natural and civil upheavals unfolded with quakes and tsunamis in Samoa and Japan. The first major quake in three centuries hit the Himalayan Kingdom of Bhutan and many other places were touched by the totality of the moon’s shadow – details all incredibly and clearly explained by Arjuna.

Considering the third great eclipse set to cross the lower 48 states of America very soon, Arjuna writes:

“Prepare for something big and unexpected seven years after 22 July 2009. Not just Earth changes. Brace for groundbreaking “down” financial fault lines caused by the Great American Eclipse of 21 August 2017. Beware what sensitive seismic pressures lurk under American mountains, valleys and coastlines. If the passing of the moon’s shadow should awaken these sleeping giants of change, they might rise, overturn, and forever alter American empire in the years following August 2017.

“What overturns America will upend the current world ‘disorder’.”

After describing his predictions about the solar eclipse this coming 21 August 2017 in riveting detail, Arjuna launches into the subject of ‘myths’ as briefly mentioned earlier. He touches base with the Mahabharata, the Rig Veda, Atlantis, Mesoamerica, and recent archaeological findings. He cites Ruth Montgomery and Edgar Cayce and then, in a surprise move, to one of the most controversial personas of today, Donald Trump:

“To start with, there is one man in particular, the man who has perhaps unmindfully on his part, become a catalyst for better “and worse” for great changes to overcome America and the world. He is the King of New Atlantis, if you will, the President of the United States, Donald J. Trump. His birth chart aspects mix and mingle with the planetary aspects on the day of the eclipse in ways that could see his personal life and his destiny as president vastly changed.”

In an uplifting last chapter Arjuna elaborates on the fact that the shadow of this year’s eclipse will move directly over Rajneeshpuram on its long path over the USA, explaining the city’s energetic impact on world and future events in little-known excerpts from Osho’s discourses about America’s future.

He states that he wrote this book about the eclipse over America without any feeling of vengeance, just an understanding of karmic consequence: “I foresee America’s greatest days are ahead of it. Once it has seen this dark and egoistic era of being a superpower destroyed, it will venture inward as a nation and eventually become the “new India” – a cradle of fresh religiousness for the dawning Aquarian Age: a synthesis of Eastern and Native American understanding as its foundation and this outcast master’s vision will be at the core of it. Osho will become America’s Guru.“

In conclusion, this is a most exciting book to read – after which ‘connecting the dots’ of the events on this planet becomes remarkably easy and obvious.
