If You Are Bored of Tony Robbins, Try This
I have suffered quite a lot in my life, mostly from mental health issues.
As anyone who is lost, I tried to find my way back, searching for a bit of light and happiness.
Believe me, I tried all.
Every self-development book you can think of, I have read and practiced everything that is written there. Tony Robbins, James Clear, Ryan Holiday, many other psychologists’ books, etc. Nothing worked, and I really applied myself to make it work.
Then, I found a video of an old guy on YouTube talking really, really slow. He looked 90 years old and moved in slow motion. His name was Osho.
He talked about how the body and mind work, and why I wasn’t happy. Everything he said made perfect sense.
After watching only 4 of his videos, I had already discredited every psychologist in the world. They know nothing compared to this man.
I bought 8 of his books, they are short and easy to read. He explains the “why” and the “how” of everything related to becoming a better human being.
It’s incredible how obvious is to be happy, but before reading his books, it seemed impossible.
But, why is this man more special than any other guy? He isn’t even a PhD!
Well, in the so-called “meditation world” people try to take the human body to new heights, to see where’s the peak of humanity. You can call them meditators, religious people, yogis, whatever.
They are all trying the same thing, to be better humans.
In that world, there’s a top of the mountain, a place where you can’t improve any further. That’s the thing that people like Buddha or Jesus achieved.
They are the final version of the human being, the peak, and that’s why they can be easily remembered 2000 and 2300 years after they lived.
That “peak of the human being” is so incredible that, even a homeless guy like Buddha, is more remembered today than a massive emperor like Alexander the Great. Jesus also lived a humble life, and his memory today is far more powerful than people who have conquered entire continents.
The clue about why two homeless guys from 2000 years ago are the most important people nowadays can be found through Osho. Because he has also reached that peak, he explains how it feels and how to get there.
He has shown me how to be way happier, and it’s a never-ending journey.
I feel better today than 3 months ago, and better then than 6 months ago. His books give you a deep understanding of life and how to manage it.
It’s a pity that he died in 1990 and we can’t talk with him anymore, but at least he left behind a whole collection of videos, books, and memories.
If you want to give it a try, I recommend “Freedom from Illusion: The Book of Ego”, you can find it on Amazon.
